Position Summary
INTUITION is a platform that combines multimodal data with pristine, spatially-linked human brain tissues housed in the UI NeuroRepository enabling an expansive systems biology approach that unites clinical, imaging, and electrical brain activity with the underlying cells, genes, proteins, and molecules that contribute to disease. Combining integrated data with an artificial intelligence-based analysis contributes to a better understanding of the human brain and has led to a pipeline of new diagnostics and therapeutics to combat brain disorders. We are developing new and improvising existing solutions that helps physicians and scientist to perform comprehensive system biology analysis on human brain.

The Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation is seeking to hire multiple graduate students positions focused on research and software development.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Accountable for end-to-end development, testing, and implementation in full-stack projects.
  • Collaborate with scientists and physicians to gather requirements and contribute to UX/UI design.
  • Oversee and manage web and data servers to ensure seamless operation.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, remain well-versed in internal systems, and actively share acquired knowledge with the team.
  • Collaborate with fellow developers to achieve project goals.
  • Participate in and contribute to project meetings.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications
    Proven expertise in managing large datasets.
    Proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
    Demonstrated experience in deploying applications.
    Familiarity with HIPAA standards.
    Mastery of PostgreSQL and file systems.
    Adept at web application development utilizing the Django framework.
    Proficient in Jinja templating.
    Fluency in Python and related packages for data operations (pandas, NumPy) and visualization (plotly, matplotlib).
    Hands-on experience in establishing scripts for test automation.Familiar with working with DICOM and EEG data

    Preferred Qualifications
    Full-stack developer with expertise in Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and JINJA.
    Minimum of two years of professional programming experience.
    Proven active participation in open-source communities, including platforms like GitHub.
