Overview TA Instruments is a world-leading Scientific Instrumentation company with a focus on Material Characterization. Our instruments play a pivotal role in various fields, including electric cars, 3D Printing, batteries, recyclable plastics, space suits, candy that melts in your mouth, paint that applies smoothly and dries without streaks, and even ensuring your French fries have the perfect crunch. Material Science uniquely spans the fields of physics, chemistry, engineering, and manufacturing. Our instruments and software come together to aid in accelerating the design of new materials as well as the quality of manufacturing those materials. We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with expertise in materials science, thermal analysis, and rheology to lead the development of advanced data-driven solutions. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product teams to create algorithms, predictive models, and data pipelines that improve instrument performance, automate analysis, and provide insights to our customers. This role bridges deep domain knowledge in materials characterization with cutting-edge data science and is key to scaling our analytical capabilities. This is a hybrid position - 3 days per week on site (Tuesday-Thursday) based out of our New Castle, DE TA Instruments HQ Responsibilities As a Senior Data Scientist, you will: Lead Data Science Initiatives
Develop machine learning and statistical models for interpreting complex rheology and thermal analysis data (e.g., DSC, TGA, DMA).
