Responsibilities
SummitRidge Hospital -is a place for Healing and Hope! Our behavioral health psychiatric hospital is in Lawrenceville (about 25 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta). We provide psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment to adults and seniors, in addition to partial hospitalization and other outpatient programs (includes a location in Athens). On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at SummitRidge Hospital. SummitRidge is proud to be a teaching facility that supports local nursing students through our dedicated and tenured nursing team. The House Supervisor is a key member of the SummitRidge Hospital nursing team. The House Supervisor is responsible for the overall functioning of the hospital during after hours and weekend operations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and demonstrates competence in the human stages of growth and development. Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Current RN licensure either compact or single state for Georgia. Experience: No psych experience is required; however, psychiatric nursing is preferred. Must possess knowledge of developmental stages of children, adolescents, geriatrics, and adults, and the social, cultural, and environmental influences on both patient and family members. Licensure/Certification: CPR Certification Current RN licensure Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management. |
