A Day in Life of an Associate Project Manager, Aviation Planning at Hanson Here's a snapshot of what you would do in this role: 
 Preparing airport master plans, airport layout plans, site selection studies, obstruction analysis, forecasting, noise and environmental evaluations, terminal plans, sustainability evaluations, business plans, and other airport planning tasks and projectsAssist the aviation market in smart airport planning programs, and lead or assist in writing grant applicationsCommunicate analysis results in the form of technical memoranda, reports, graphic displays, and presentations to government bodies and elected officials as part of the aviation planning processParticipate in preparation of technical proposals, scope of work development, and external relationship building and technical presentationsClient and project team coordination for the identified tasksMust be willing and able to work overtime to meet project needs and deadlinesTravel to client location or regulatory agencies for project-related tasks is expectedOther duties as assigned What We're Looking For We feel the following qualifications would set you up for success in this role: Skills: 
 Experience in complex and controversial projectsExperience with Microsoft Office softwareExperience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or ArcGISExperience with AEDT and/or AviPlan Turn preferredExperience with managing project financials preferredMust be able to communicate complex technical concepts to technical staff, public officials, and the general public in both written and oral formatMust be able to build effective relationships with internal and external client basesMust be able to work independently and as a team member to problem solve and learn new technical skillsMust demonstrate an interest in experiencing a variety of assignments and responsibilities Education/Experience: 
 Bachelor's degree in Planning, Aviation Management, Civil Engineering or a relevant fieldMinimum of 8 years of relevant airport planning experience with increasing responsibilities and project leadershipMust have a strong working knowledge of FAA advisory circulars and ordersExperience in establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, airport boards, FAA and regulatory organizationsPreferred additional qualifications:
