Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse for Children's Specialized Hospital

Children;s Specialized , accredited Long Term care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Graduated from an accredited program of Practical Nursing
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• BLS certification
• Maintains required Heart Saver CPR Certification/course completion status

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a behavioral health setting helpful

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Sift, Per Diem

Essential Functions:

• Medication administration
• Group facilitation
• Vital signs
• Blood glucose monitoring
• Assisting with ADLs
• Documentation
• Ensuring a safe milieu through safety rounds and 1:1 observation
