In this role you will i
nteract with North American Aerospace MUs to support their SPS and Quality improvements. The role will include supporting the MUs evaluation as well as directly supporting their improvement activities.
Further you will be mainly responsibilities for
- SPS
- Collaborate with the Factories to implement the SKF SPS system and support digitization initiatives.
- Manage continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency, incorporating Lean Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Monitor Factories SPS Deployment Plan to track progress and identify areas for improvement with special focus on Phase1.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement across SKF Aero USA Units.
- Coach and support trainings in lean tools and methodologies, conduct lean maturity assessments, and develop plans to address gaps in lean manufacturing.
- Facilitate Best Practice sharing between Factories
Quality Assurance
Customer complaint support - analyzing 8D to ensure proper content
Zero Defect Plan implementation
Right First Time approach (SLR reduction)
Training and Quality competence improvements (License to Fly)
Internal audits including QT 13
Follow up and check effectiveness of improvement activities related to Quality KPI's
Manage Cross-functional quality projects
Main requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in Quality Assurance, including some in managerial capacity,
- Experience in SKF SPS,
- Experience in team management,
- High analytical ability and proven problem-solving skills (8D, 5Y, Ishikawa, A3, etc...),
- Self-starter able to effectively interact across all levels of the organization,
- Ability to analyze data (statistical calculation) and to manage risk analysis (DFMEA, PFMEA)
- Demonstrated ability in assuming a leadership role in coaching and developing key employees responsible for Quality
- A strong desire to promote and influence change in the organization through leading by example
- Act with speed and results driven
- Availability to travel frequently (20 - 40%)
Preferred requirement
- AS9100 knowledge,
- Experienced auditor - SKF or AS9100 approved auditor a plus,
- Six Sigma black, or green, belt

This position will be ideally located in one of the SKF Aero manufacturing sites (Falconer, NY, Muskegon, MI, Ladson, SC or Colebrook, CT) and other SKF sites will be considered.
