Industrial Electrician

Staffmark is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join a leading manufacturing and skid fabrication team in Katy, TX. If you're experienced in electrical installation, wiring, and instrument terminations-this is a great opportunity to put your skills to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Pay: $33/hour

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday

Job Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs
• Install and layout cable trays, conduit, and wiring for skid-mounted equipment
• Terminate wiring in control panels, junction boxes, operator stations, and VFDs
• Perform loop checks and assist with instrument testing using multimeters and signal generators
• Install flexible conduit (" - 2" GRC) per project requirements
• Identify and install equipment for appropriate environmental applications (e.g., NEMA 1, NEMA 4, Class I Div 2)
• Maintain proper safety practices and comply with company regulations
• Use hand tools for cutting, stripping, crimping, and assembly tasks
• Maintain clean work areas and complete assignments as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Instrumentation & Control Engineering Technology preferred
• Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship and a valid Electrician's License required
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant electrical experience
• Strong understanding of analog/digital I/Os, wiring practices, and industrial systems
• Proficient in bending, threading, and installing GRC, EMT, and Liquid Tight conduit
• Experience using electrical threading machines (portable & stationary)
• Able to lift 20-50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and color differentiation skills
• Must be comfortable using PPE including gloves and ear protection
