Salary

$78,000 - $110,000

Requirements

• Engineering degree with a preference for the design of water and wastewater infrastructure
• 4 years of civil design experience
• A valid South Caroline driver's license
• Registered as a PE in the state of South Carolina

Civil Engineer Job Tasks

• Design and engineer all assigned water, wastewater, and civil engineering projects from concept to completion
• Create and modify construction plans using AutoCAD software
• Coordinate technical work between engineering teams, permitting agencies, and contractors
• Ensure all projects comply with EPA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, state, and local regulations
• Certify project designs with a professional engineering seal
• Conduct engineering studies, investigations, and cost estimates
• Manage projects assigned to outside engineering consultants
• Interact with federal, state, and local agencies including the EPA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Health and Environmental Control, Department of Natural Resources, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, surveyors, technicians, developers, and other stakeholders
• Maintain compliance with all Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures
• Perform duties during emergency response situations as needed
