Job Duties:
Computer, Data & Information Sciences (CDIS) has a centralized marketing and communications team that supports school-wide efforts as well as the work of our three academic departments. We are seeking a creative and collaborative Marketing & Communication Specialist to support school-level communications. This position reports to the Director of Advancement and plays a vital role in promoting the CDIS brand, amplifying department achievements, and driving awareness of our programs, people, and priorities. The Marketing & Communication Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that align with the school's goals and objectives. This includes creating engaging content that highlights department accomplishments, promotes programs, and increases visibility through partnerships across campus. We're looking for a solutions-oriented communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Creativity, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with many stakeholders is essential. This role will have regular contact with directors, faculty, staff, and students. Candidates should have excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write articles on a specific topic, in addition to short-form copywriting. The successful candidate will also stay up to date on marketing and communication trends, best practices, and adhere to UW-Madison's editorial style guide. This position allows for some remote work flexibility; however, the majority of work is expected to be conducted in person. This position is full-time, 100%. Key Job Responsibilities:

Compensation:Starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
