Summary:

Responsible for the development and implementation of educational experiences, programs, and special projects designed to meet the changing needs of CHRISTUS Health radiology and nursing associates. Provides delivery of education services with care and concern for individuals and team members. Maintains and coordinates the Educational and Regulatory needs and documentation of the Radiology Department.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Develops educational offerings for Radiology associates, based on identified learning needs and styles, and uses the appropriate instructional media to meet the identified needs.
  • Ensures that educational offerings are updated as needed to meet regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Coordinates all clinical education activities for Radiology Associates preceptor/mentor training, HealthStream maintenance, CE compliance, clinical student orientation and assignments, New Hire education, and Orientation to include Hospital Information System, PACS, Transport system, PYXIS systems. Policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates appropriate and timely documentation and tracking of educational offerings.
  • Demonstrates professionalism in presentations, teamwork, and communications; is supportive of hospital and departmental objectives, decisions, and policies by deed and speech.
  • Work with Department Leadership to maintain and enhance departmental Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to work in all areas of Radiology to help with patient throughput and workload as needed.
  • All other Duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Masters preferred


Experience


  • 5 years' experience in Radiology Hospital Setting

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications


  • Current Licensure to practice Radiology in the State of employment is required
  • BLS Certification is required
