| The role of the Technician is to manage and perform startup activities and system performance evaluations on new construction and existing building projects of all types to include documentation of pre-functional activities and the maintenance of action item lists. The Technician will also be an integral part of the final Commissioning team and will be required to participate in point to point system checkout as well as functional system testing activities and resolution of all operational deficiencies identified as part of this process.DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
 BASIC QUALIFICATIONSComplete project reviews with the commissioning officer before starting a projectManage and perform all startup activities on a variety of project types and sizesDocument all pre-functional activities in our paperless Commissioning documentation systemsMaintain a current action item list in our paperless Commissioning documentation systemsCommunicate job status with the project management team on a daily basis and report any issues that may impede job progress or scheduleAssist the Commissioning project management team with equipment and system startup schedulingMaintain the startup crew manpower loading as needed to maintain the project scheduleAssist the Commissioning project management team with communicating technical detail to vendors or factory representatives as needed to repair manufacturers defects in equipmentMentor Commissioning Group apprentices in the performance of assigned dutiesTroubleshoot system problems, provide solutions and manage problem resolution through the Commissioning project management teamAssist Test and Balance and manufacturers' representatives in resolving issues that impact the performance of the systems within our responsibility or scope of workSupervise other startup technicians and apprentices as applicableCoordinate with other trades to keep the construction schedule on trackAssist the Senior level commissioning technicians with commissioning activities as applicable 
 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 5 years commercial HVAC mechanical equipment startup or service experienceHigh school diploma or GEDTechnical School degree in HVAC/R or similar.Must be able/available to travelup to 25% of timeValid Georgia driver's license and clean driving record. Employees in this classification must maintain insurability during the term of employmentCFC certification
