SPA's AUKUS Group provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA's AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Program Office and associated partner organizations. Analysts and Engineers supporting AUKUS will continue SPA's decades of support to the undersea force and assist in developing a trilateral submarine force for the future. This is a high-profile, major international program of significant importance to the future of the US Navy and its partners in an era of renewed strategic competition.#MC

In this role, the Senior Advisor will support a NAVSEA Team Submarine program office charged with the planning and management for all stages of a major acquisition program. Responsibilities will include strategic planning and coordination of program wide activities; ensuring quality of Trilateral Submarine Industrial Base directorate deliverables; supporting the TSIB Director in development of integrated plans and alignment of US industrial base with partner activities; developing and implementing office and organizational administrative policies and procedures; and collaborating directly with the TSIB Director to determine and prioritize objectives. There may be opportunities for periodic trips outside of the DC area to support customer meetings.

This position is located at SPA HQ in Alexandria, VA or remote on a case-by-case basis.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field

• 10+ years of experience supporting Navy programs and operations, ideally in a NAVSEA acquisition program office

• Experience working with FMS partners
• Knowledge of and experience executing industrial base uplift activities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications
• Proven ability to provide strategic planning and coordination to senior executives
• Active DoD SECRET Clearance, and ability to maintain it throughout employment

• Experience with implementing program acquisition/business plans
• Experience with Submarine Industrial Base activities
• Ability to identify and apply innovative practices and principles to resolve problems and gain acceptance of new methods or procedures
