Job Summary
Supervises Data Center Critical Facilities Engineers and Data Center sites. Assists with coordination of projects and maintenance. Ensures site remains within compliance of regulatory and jurisdictional requirements.

Responsibilities
Site Management


  • Maintains sites at highest state of operational readiness by ensuring mission critical facilities equipment is operable and reliable

  • Administrates maintenance programs executed by site staff and regularly reviews completed work for conformance to requirements

  • Meets site performance metrics for energy efficiency, budgets, and uptime

  • Minimizes risk to organization by ensuring compliance with regulatory and jurisdictional requirements


Supervises Data Center Critical Facilities Engineers


  • Supports the well-being and professional development of site staff by fostering a collaborative environment with strong unit cohesion

  • Manages personnel details to include salaries and positioning

  • Ensures assigned training is completed by direct reports

  • Advocates for safe work practices and enforces safety policy


Site Capacity Management

  • Effectively manages power and cooling to minimize risk to equipment and to support continued growth

Project/Infrastructure Management


  • Supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects affecting facilities infrastructure

  • Provides input and guidance towards budget planning exercises


Vendor Management

  • Oversees contractor work for conformance Equinix standards

Incident Management


  • Communicates and coordinates activities of on-site staff during incidents

  • Escalates as necessary to senior leadership in the event of business impacting incidents


Qualifications


  • 3+ years experience

  • High School Diploma

  • Typically has 2-3 years of people management experience and is fully proficient with each of the responsibilities indicated


The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - LA4 Los Angeles : 88,000 - 132,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
