The Department of Public Health Sciences (PHS) at the University of Virginia, School of Medicine, seeks a full-time Grants and Contracts Administrator to work with the faculty researchers in PHS. This position is eligible to be remote. The Grants and Contracts Administrator will provide primarily pre-award support; post-award or a combination of grants and contracts responsibilities in response to specific guidelines or terms and conditions may also be required. The successful candidate will facilitate the proposal submission and award administration process. The incumbent will understand sponsor requirements and interpret guidelines for the Principal Investigator. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the processing of proposal or award amendments, communicating with sponsor as needed, and serve as the primary contact for internal and external subcontracts and sponsors. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree. Physical Demands: This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. This role does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and/or programs. Preferred Qualifications Licensure: Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification. This is a restricted position, which is dependent on funding. While there is no planned term-limitation at this time, the position is contingent upon funding availability. This is an exempt-level, benefited position.
