Job Summary: Responsible for outfitting all guests with rental equipment suitable for their needs and explaining safety features.

Please note this positions is located at Palisades Tahoe and is not remote.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $18.68 - $24.28 per hour

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers and employees.
  • Greet and assist guests upon entry to the store.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of product features and benefits.
  • Assess guest needs through effective questioning.
  • Assist in sizing and selecting appropriate equipment.
  • Recommend ski/snowboard lengths based on guest attributes.
  • Maintain binding certification and adjust bindings as required.
  • Ensure accurate completion of rental contracts.
  • Explain rental equipment operation and safety features.
  • Utilize RTP POS system proficiently.
  • Inspect returned equipment for damage and completeness.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and express appreciation for their business.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and equipment storage standards.\


Competencies and Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong customer service and safety awareness.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Neat and clean appearance according to company standards.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Team-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 months of customer service or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with ski/snowboard equipment and POS systems preferred.


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual acuity and depth perception necessary for job tasks.


Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate.

Equipment Used in Job: POS system, skis, boots, bindings, ski tuning equipment, hand tools
