DESCRIPTION OF DUTIE
  • Works directly with Art Leads, Animators, Environment, VFX and UI Artists to support and improve art production efficiency.
  • Participates in the debugging and optimization of assets to run within technical constraints such as memory and frame rate limitations.
  • Sustain clean and organized assets and file structures.
  • Participates in the creation of shaders and materials to support visual goals.
  • Participates in the creation and implementation of character and object rigs for games to achieve innovative and high-quality gameplay experiences based on supporting art direction.
  • Participates with the Art Team to create 2D/3D assets.
  • Implements game play features aligned to game design goals.
  • Utilizes and maintains proficient knowledge of required commercial and Nintendo proprietary art production tools.
  • Applies professional expertise to review, analyze and test products under development as a contributing member of a production team to ensure delivery of Nintendo's high standard of quality and timeliness.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience having shipped at least 1 game.
  • Proven knowledge of MEL and Python scripting.
  • Proven artistic and technical skills in basic 3D and or 2D art production.
  • Experienced with game development pipelines and game engines (E.g. Unreal, Unity or a proprietary engine)
  • Proven experience with joint setup, skinning, and controller creation
  • Proven proficiency with commercial art production software (E.g. Houdini, Photoshop, Maya, Zbrush, Substance Designer, Painter, etc.)
  • Capable of excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Can respond to feedback and iterations quickly and efficiently
  • Undergraduate degree in art or related field; or equivalent education and experience
** This is a CONTRACT position
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This contract position has a base pay range of $31 - $47 per hour and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits include eligibility for medical insurance, employee assistance program, and paid sick leave. All benefits are subject to elections, eligibility requirements, plan and program terms. Benefits offerings will be confirmed at the time of offer by the employing agency, and may differ depending on the employing agency partner.
