Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as Actuarial Associate II for our Benefits Division! About the role The Benefits Actuarial Department is responsible for the pricing, valuation, and risk management of our growing book of group life, disability, supplemental health, and stop loss business. As a student in Benefits Actuarial, you will leverage your business knowledge and technical skills to advance our actuarial capabilities and output. As part of the Symetra Actuarial Student Program, we provide students with exam support, mentoring, and opportunities to rotate throughout the company's actuarial departments. Specific projects may include developing new products and pricing based on market needs, enhancing existing products and pricing methodologies, improving our reserve and business modeling, and working with our business partners to improve our predictive and analytics tools. Compensation Salary Range: $85,400 - $142,300 plus eligibility for annual bonus program Who You Are
