Hours

  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Mon-Fri) Remote, With Onsite Requirements (Local to Chicago)

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $113,740 - $150,647. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager!

Reporting directly to theSenior Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), theFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will be responsible for leading Corporate FP&A activities including planning, forecast, reporting, and analysis of S&C's regional and consolidated results. Additional responsibilities include oversight of components of S&C's financial planning and consolidation system. This position will work closely withkey stakeholders across the company including the Chief Financial Administrative and Strategy Officer, senior leadership team, and business unit leaders providing financial and strategic support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the coordination, analysis and reporting of monthly financials and planning activities ensuring due dates are achieved and key deliverables are submitted
  • Performing complex financial activities, including ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision making and providing recommendations that will enable quality performance management discussions
  • Supporting the preparation and presentation of the quarterly Board of Directors meetings
  • Consolidating and analyzing actual, forecast, and plan results for key stakeholders within the business
  • Serve as key business partner to senior leadership by providing timely and value-added analyses, improving decision making and processes to address business issues
  • Working with leadership to develop, improve, and maintain financial reporting across the organization
  • Manage forward-looking processes such as the quarterly forecast and annual operating plan for key stakeholders
  • Provide financial counsel and guidance to effectively challenge status quo assumptions while maintaining alignment to strategic business objectives
  • Support the company's development activities by analyzing growth initiatives, including capital expenditure analysis, new product introductions, plant expansions, etc.
  • Fostering an environment of continuous improvement to achieve efficiency and best practices
  • Leading automation and process improvement projects as needed

What you'll Need To Succeed:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; CPA or MBA preferred
  • 5 years plus in Financial Planning & Analysis or related experience with progressively more responsibility for business partnering, reporting and budgeting processes
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills to effectively map and prioritize tasks to drive business solutions
  • High proficiency with the Microsoft 365 Business Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Intermediate proficiency with Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud, and/or ability to quickly learn the accounting software used by the organization

Preferred:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Accountant (CFA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2
