* Omaha, NE (Preferred) * Austin, TX * San Jose, CA Contract Duration: 6 months (Strong potential for extension) Work Environment: Hybrid (3 days onsite; Austin-based candidates: 1 day onsite every other week) About the Role We are seeking an experienced IVR Developer to support the modernization of a global voice and telephony infrastructure. This role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating voice solutions that enhance customer-facing IVR and authentication experiences. You'll work with a team transitioning from legacy call flows to next-generation, AI-powered voice agents. Key Responsibilities Design & Development * Design and develop IVR applications using VXML and GDF. * Integrate IVR solutions with backend systems using Java and SQL. * Build call flows for both inbound and outbound IVR systems. Testing & Deployment * Conduct unit, functional, and integration testing. * Use Cyara for automated testing and monitoring. * Deploy applications on Avaya and Genesys platforms. Integration & Maintenance * Integrate speech recognition and text-to-speech technologies. * Monitor and maintain IVR systems for performance and availability. * Troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues. Collaboration * Partner with business analysts, QA engineers, and project managers. * Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience * 6+ years of Java development experience (Java 15+ preferred). * Strong expertise in IVR application development using VXML and GDF. * Proficiency in SQL and backend integration. * Experience with IVR platforms such as Avaya, Genesys, Amazon Connect, Watson, or Nuance. * Familiarity with Cyara for IVR testing and monitoring. * Solid understanding of telephony protocols and call flow design. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Additional Qualifications * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively. * Experience deploying and maintaining IVR systems in production environments. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
