Electrical Controls Engineer - If You Can Debug Ladder Logic in Your Sleep, Keep Reading...
Location:Middletown, OH
Company:PAC Worldwide - Innovating Protective Packaging
Some engineers just design. Others make it run. At PAC Worldwide, we're looking for the second kind-the type of engineer who loves turning complex systems into smooth, reliable, high-speed automation that gets results on the production floor.
If you know your way around PLCs, Servo systems, HMIs, and robotics-and you'd rather make machines dancethan write reports about them-this is your next big move. What You'll Own:

  • Designing, programming, and integrating PLC, PAC, HMI, Servo Motion, and Robotics systems for high-performance packaging lines.

  • Taking projects fromconcept to commissioning-not just the theory, but making it happen in real life.

  • Getting hands-on with troubleshooting and problem-solving alongside Maintenance and Operations teams.

  • Driving process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and capital projects that make a visible impact.

  • Coordinating with R&D, vendors, and contractors to keep technology moving forward.
What Makes This Role Different:

  • You're in control:From schematics to FAT to start-up, you own the controls solution.

  • Every day is different:One week it's Siemens or Beckhoff PLC programming, the next it's robotics integration or web handling automation.

  • Real impact:Your work doesn't sit on a server-it powers real machines delivering products around the world.

  • Freedom to innovate:We embrace new tech and your ideas to make automation smarter and faster.
What We're Looking For:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years in industrial controls or system integration(packaging industry a bonus).

  • Hands-on programming skills (ladder logic, structured text, C++, IEC 61131-3).

  • Ability to design electrical schematics, review BOMs, and troubleshoot on-site when things get tricky.

  • A practical mindset-you love solving problems that matter, with sleeves rolled up and tools in hand.
The Fine Print:

  • Some travel (domestic and international) to bring your projects to life.

  • Physical, on-the-floor work environment in addition to office and design time.

  • A team that values smart solutions, ownership, and engineering curiosity.

This isn't a "just push the buttons" controls job. It's for the engineer who wants to build, code, troubleshoot, and lead automation projects from start to finish.
Apply todayand help us design the future of packaging automation-one well-programmed line at a time.
