The Communications Manager is a key enabling role for our client and the account team communications in our fast-paced environment. The role is highly visible and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities is essential. Responsibilities include crafting engaging communications to the client and JLL account team audiences. Additionally, the Communications Manager assists the account leadership team in developing newsletters, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, account policies, ad-hoc reporting, and providing communications counsel to the leadership team for initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with the ability to adapt swiftly to changing priorities. This person must be a self-starter who is proficient in managing multiple projects concurrently while keeping stakeholders well-informed. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are critical to success. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact as an integral part of our client-facing team, serving as a trusted communications advisor and helping to shape the narrative of our services and value proposition.

What this job involves

  • Lead day-to-day communications operations, including gathering, maintaining, and disseminating critical information to team members and clients. Collaborate with business teams to ensure messaging alignment.

  • Serve as the communications bridge between the firm and the account team, promoting firm news internally and team achievements to the wider organization

  • Deliver exceptional client-facing communications with a strong customer service focus

  • Develop and maintain standardized communication templates for consistent team use

  • Provide strategic communications counsel to account teams on client communications, policy development, reporting, presentation development, and signage

  • Coordinate and support key meetings and events, including All Hands meetings, CRM sessions, client appreciation events, and team-building activities

  • Create and execute innovative communication concepts across multiple platforms

  • Develop compelling content for client consumption through digital and written channels

  • Ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines across all communications

  • Maintain exceptional quality control through careful proofreading and editing of all communications

  • Complete all projects professionally and accurately, consistently meeting or exceeding deadlines

  • Implement effective processes for tracking and managing multiple concurrent projects

  • Provide advisory support on high-profile projects and special initiatives requiring strategic communication

  • Champion the account's Rewards & Recognition program, promoting team achievements and ensuring active participation

  • Oversee outside vendors as needed to deliver quality communication products

  • Bachelor's Degree (English, Law, Journalism, Communications) with superior writing and problem-solving skills.

  • 3-5 years executive level experience in business communications/writing and organizational protocols.

  • Knowledgeable on appropriateness of information for client and internal account use.

  • Knowledgeable about various media tools and methods, including social media.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, editing and presentation skills.

  • Strong project management skills and schedule management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, and desktop publishing programs.

  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in written documentation.

  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • A creative thinker with demonstrated success in translating broad concepts and ideas into clear and logical communications, leveraged in multiple venues.

  • Understanding of and commitment to serving our internal clients and contracted obligations.

  • Ability to work effectively in teams, especially cross-functional groups.

  • Ability to work confidently and effectively with all levels of employees and clients.

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

This Atlanta-based role requires being in-office at least four days a week.
