Summary
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, safety of physical buildings, and infrastructure. This role involves ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of functionality, safety, and compliance.

Essential Functions
-Oversee the management of the CMMS with General Tech Leads ensuring work orders are manage accordingly keeping system current in real time, providing status to the requestors and monthly summary reports on activity.

-Manage with General Tech Leads the operation of essential building systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), plumbing, electrical systems, fire safety systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

-Coordinate with General Tech leads preventive maintenance schedules and shutdowns for hospital equipment, facilities, and infrastructure to minimize downtime and avoid costly repairs.

-Ensure that all facilities meet health and safety standards, as well as regulatory requirements
- Submit Pre Construction Risk Assessment (PCRA) for work to ensure interim life safety and infection control measures are implemented, monitored and documented.

-Supervise and coordinate the work of in-house maintenance staff, including electricians, HVAC technicians, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the required quality.

-Manage staff safety training and documentation for DOT, RICRA, OSHA, PPE, Confined Space, LOTO etc.
-Attend Daily Dash and other meetings/huddles specific to Facilities responsibilities.
-Supervise emergency responses, coordinate remediation and provide updates and timeline to end users.
-Position will require off hours and weekend support to Facilities staff as needed for all shifts

- Manage shift coverage and performance reviews.
- Responsible to review and ensure polices associated with shops are current.
- Implement and coordinate 'Room A Day" program for all patient units to address preventative maintenance, minor repairs, patch/paint, plumbing and electrical checks.
- Manage "Above Ceiling Work" permit program with In-House Lead Inspector using CMMS.
- Manage "Green" program to address clutter and debris in unauthorized areas blocking egress and life safety equipment.
- Sr. Manager, Facilities Operations and Facilities Manager work side by side to support each other, the team, and hospital to ensure safety, and compliance.

Associate's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials

Not required. Preferred certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), and/or Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP).

Experience
Experience in facilities management, engineering or other closely related role 3-5 years required

- Knowledge of facilities management, including building systems, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong people and problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to emergencies and resolve facility issues efficiently and calmly.
- Budgeting and financial management skills, including the ability to manage operating costs and optimize facility-related expenses.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, patients, contractors, and vendors.
