The Release Manager at Snowflake orchestrates timely, high-quality SaaS product delivery by coordinating engineering teams and stakeholders. This role guides releases, enhances process, and accelerates builds and deployments. Combining program management with technical expertise, the Release Manager balances risks against business objectives, operates autonomously, and defines release criteria, improves metrics, communicates status, and implements process enhancements.

AS A SNOWFLAKE RELEASE MANAGER:
  • Coordinates engineering teams and stakeholders for high-quality, fast-paced releases.

  • Onboards internal customers to the Release Engineering platform.

  • Assists with requirements and processes for the automated release platform.

  • Communicates release status, action items, and updates.

  • Assists the Support team with public communications.

  • Manages all release communications, schedules, landing pages, and calendar entries.

  • Monitors release phase progress with metrics.

  • Facilitates meetings.

  • Continuously improves release processes by incorporating best practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years Program/Project Management experience with Software Engineering teams.

  • Proven experience partnering with product and support teams.

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong aptitude for quick learning in dynamic environments.

  • Collaborative team player with enthusiasm for new technologies and innovative solutions..

  • Bachelor's Degree related technical discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • SaaS Release Manager experience.

  • Experience in an on-demand environment, with Agile development and 24x7 operations.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $134,000 - $195,500.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
