Job Details

This position leads strategic category management including vendor relationships, strategic sourcing, and contracting to drive value and support the business objectives of Jefferson's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) departments, including Real Estate, Facilities Operations, Planning, and Design & Construction. The position leads the development, continuous improvement, and effective application of EAM sourcing and contracting strategies, processes, and contract forms to optimize contracted services value. The AVP EAM Contracts leader collaborates closely with Jefferson Supply Chain Management (who has authority for the purchasing function) to ensure adherence to established enterprise strategic sourcing, contracting, and vendor relationship management practices. The position also collaborates with colleagues in the Office of Legal Affairs and Risk Management in development and revision of standard forms of contracts and contracts negotiations. Strong organization, reporting, and analytical skills are essential for success.

Job Description

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Leads EAM Contracts team to deliver superior value-added strategic sourcing and contracting services for Real Estate, Planning, Design & Construction, and Facilities Operations.
  • Leads strategy for EAM purchased services, particularly professional services and construction contracts associated with execution of the capital program and Facilities Operations service contracts.
  • Leads analysis of service and consulting contracts to identify opportunities to leverage scale, ensure proper service levels, maximize value, and maintain business continuity.
  • Leads maintenance and improvement of processes to provide effective sourcing, bidding, award, and contracting to maximize value.
  • Leads development and continuous review and improvement of contract forms to ensure contractor and service provider performance, minimize risk, and establish favorable business terms.
  • Leads promotion of supplier and service provider community impact to stimulate local and diverse participation in contracting opportunities.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):

  • Highly organized, self-motivated leader able to set and accomplish organizational goals across departments required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Experience in capital management contracting is required.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is required.

AND

Experience:

Ten years' of progressively responsible experience in planning, design, construction, and facilities operations strategic sourcing and contracting in healthcare or higher education is preferred.
