What You'll Do
|
Summary/Objective: Responsible for the day-to-day processing of all payroll related activities for all DCU companies. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Ensure the accurate preparation, processing, and timely completion of the weekly payroll for all DCU companies.
- Process the full payroll cycle using UKG Pro HRIS/Payroll software, including the preparation and import of various additional earnings, the audit and import of employee timesheet data from WFM Pro, the calculation and audit of paychecks, and any required adjustments. Reconcile all earnings, deductions, and taxes related to the pay period.
- Track employees with an upcoming or active leave, determine the paid and unpaid portions of the applicable leave benefits, and verify that timesheets are submitted according to the approval status of the leave plans. Track employees with partial or unpaid benefit deductions and assist with the collection process.
- Prepare the net pay file and process the deposit of net pay amounts to employee accounts.
- Prepare vendor files vendors for processing and initiate corresponding funding. Submit drawdown wire for weekly DCU tax liabilities.
- Process employee maintenance tasks including employee changes submitted via workflow and User Profile, 401K deferral and loan changes, separations, and the manual calculation and processing of retroactive salary/payroll deduction changes.
- Monitor the integration of the benefits platform to the payroll core system as necessary for compliance with corresponding deduction activities and applicable regulations.
- Perform regular FSA & 401k deduction reconciliation audits.
- Monitor tuition reimbursements by employee to determine taxability and process accordingly.
- Respond promptly to employees' questions regarding payroll inquiries.
- Prepare weekly/monthly general ledger entries for accounting department.
- Complete assigned month-end tasks and cross-train on various other month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll duties.
- Complete various surveys, wage information requests, and statistical reports as required.
- Continually update procedures for all payroll responsibilities.
- Remain current on all legislation regarding payroll issues by subscribing to various payroll publications and by attending payroll-related seminars and workshops.
- Support DCU's Service Excellence initiatives by providing excellent member service to internal and external customers.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Managers(s).
- Comply with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements.

What You'll Need
|
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of previous end to end payroll processing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts preferred
- Knowledge of UKG Pro & Workforce Management Pro a plus
