THOR Solutions is actively seeking a motivated and self-driven Logistics and Administrative Analyst to support local office operations and to support budget and material management requirements (cost analysis, procurement, inventory, shipping, etc.) across multiple contracts in Panama City, FL.

Typical Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to Operations Manager, including planning, coordinating, scheduling, document repository management, document review.
  • Review, document and process purchase request for government customer.
  • Conduct cost analysis to provide best-value to the government customer.
  • Manage budgets, generate financial reports and presentations for current funds and financial forecasting for the government customer.
  • Build, manage, and maintain inventories for all on site materials supporting contracts, to include issuing, inventorying, and reordering of materials.
  • Optimize and streamline material management processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Communicate effectively on a range of integrated logistics topics with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Other administrative and logistics requirements as they arise.

Location: Hybrid. Mix of onsite at the Panama City, FL THOR Office location (~3 days/week) and the remainder as local remote.

Travel: Not anticipated at this time.

Typical Physical Activity: Mix of desk/computer work in an office environment and physical work in a warehouse/storeroom environment. May include: repetitive motion, lifting, twisting, bending, squatting, standing, and walking.

Secret Security Clearance Eligibility Required: This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must either already possess an active or interim Secret security clearance (preferred); OR be eligible to obtain a new Secret security clearance upon hire.

TypicalKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent. An ideal candidate will have one or more of the following (which can also fulfill some of the required years of experience):
    • Technical Diploma/Military school in a logistics discipline (ideally U.S. Navy LS or RS rating, or equivalent other DoD logistics roles/MOS).
    • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or supply chain management.
    • Professional logistics certifications, such as:
      • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) LOG101 - Logistics Fundamentals
      • Six Sigma Black Belt
      • Oracle E-Business Suite 12 Supply Chain Certified Implementation Specialist: Oracle Purchasing
      • Fundamentals of Cost and Price Management Certificate
      • Fundamentals of Logistics and Materials Management for Procurement Certificate
  • At least four (4) years of recent, relevant professional/military experience providing logistics and administrative support functions, including:
    • Leading logistics functions and applying related concepts, policies, and program guidance.
    • Collecting, organizing, analyzing, and displaying data from multiple sources.
    • Providing administrative support such as generating reports and deliverables or data entry.
  • An ideal candidate will additionally have some/all of the following:
    • Knowledge of Navy ERP, or similar, for supply chain management and planning.
    • Experience using DoD logistics and supply chain systems such as OneTouch, Haystack, or FedLog.
    • Knowledge of Navy supply management policies, procedures, and accountability transactions.
    • Supply chain management.
    • Specialized knowledge and experience of military logistics support activities in the areas of inventory management, purchasing, transportation, and distribution.
    • A solid understanding of military terms (especially Navy) and practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office suite of software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task to address competing priorities.
  • Self-starter, with excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Sound judgment in resolving various problems and making routine recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
