Position Title: Loan Adjustment Assistant Business Unit: Retail Lending Reports to: Manager of Asset Recovery Position Overview: This position is primarily responsible for supporting the collection department. The incumbent will handle general administrative duties for both repossession and foreclosure accounts such as processing repossession titles for vehicles, performs various administrative duties, maintain and order office and building supplies. Primary Responsibilities: Monitors status of foreclosure properties or repossessions. Gathers and inputs all required information in a computer system in Access Data to generate various letters throughout the repossession process. Accurately processes repossession and charge off entries as well as Oreo sales proceeds according to established policies and procedures. Addresses dealer reserve issues on repossession and sends deficit letters to customers as required by law. Files estate claims and civil suits, follows up with judgments and satisfactions when necessary and noting the collection system with all pertinent notes. Processes all invoices related to foreclosure and repossession. This includes sending for payment, scanning, addenda to Navigator and noting the collection system. Communicates with real estate agencies as well as closing agents to prepare for the sale of foreclosed properties. Communicates with repossession agencies to release vehicle when customer redeems. Keeps detailed notes in collection system and makes appropriate changes to Navigator. Processes ACH payments on past due loans and balances the transactions daily. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
