Under the direction of the Senior Director of Sales, the Sales Regional Manager will work collaboratively with all other Sales Regional Managers as well as other MetroPlusHealth departments to ensure the enrollment of potential members into various lines of business. This position will also serve as a liaison to external and internal customers - which may include providers, various employees, members, management personnel of various business partners and community- and faith-based organizations, etc.
Job Description
- Oversee general marketing and sales activity focused on the enrollment into primary lines of business (Medicaid, Essential Plan, Qualified Health Plans, Child Health Plus and Partners in Care).
- Develop and expand sales initiatives for the Growth Division with the purpose of promoting MetroPlusHealth and increasing membership.
- Assist the Senior Director of Sales by conducting presentations and product orientations to both internal and external customers.
- Attend, coordinate and execute staff meetings held to disseminate general information and departmental updates, strategize marketing activities, and develop personnel.
- Create strategies to meet and exceed sales goals and objectives.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining productive and cooperative relationships with clients to ensure that profitability and membership goals are maintained.
- Develop and maintain MFE schedules to ensure adequate and efficient coverage within the sales region.
- Serve as subject matter expert on all data related to regional performance on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, as well as reporting information garnered with the aid of various information tracking tools.
- Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality management of the application process.
- Perform regular evaluations of regional performance.
- Develop action plans to achieve production goals.
- Manages supervisory staff in their oversight of the day-to-day activities of field representatives.
- Represent MetroPlusHealth in public forums and events.
- Managing and developing leads through various referral systems and new business initiatives.
- Monitors market trends and demographic shifts to identify areas of need.
- Analyzes production data to drive performance.
- Ensures adherence to company directives and initiatives.
- Prospects and identifies candidates for MFE roles within the department.
- Coaches and develops supervisory staff.
- Coaches and develops front-line staff.
- Places strong emphasis on employee engagement and mentoring.
- Conducts territory development with all levels of leadership to identify new targets.
- Conducts ride-alongs with front-line and supervisory staff to access performance.
- Serves as a single point of contact for H+H facilities within the catchment area.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years' progressive experience in sales and marketing in a health care setting, with at least 3 years of management experience.
- Strong knowledge of the New York City market required.
- A proven track record in Managed Care Sales. Affordable Care Act Plans are preferred.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word,) and Visio proficiency
Licensure and/or Certification Required
