This Position reports to:

Sales Support Manager

In this role, you will plan and ensure execution of IBC (ABB's Industry Building and Channel) Marketing and Sales stakeholders' sales strategy, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems and/or services in a profitable way. Responsible for leading, developing and coaching the Sales organization proactively through data and insights, to exceed the sales targets through high performance in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

In this role you the implementation and operationalization of the IBC Marketing and Sales Organization related to processes, sales support infrastructure, market intelligence and reporting in the dedicated area of responsibility. Align with marketing, operations, reporting, and system teams to ensure operation excellence in the sales team. Applying operational excellence methodologies and providing solutions and services for all Sales units of the Division, Business Units and Product Groups in accordance with ABBs Business Mission and Values.

Core Responsibilities:

--- Sales Analytics & Insights

* Develop vision & strategy for dashboards and reports for pipeline & performance, etc., leveraging resources to maintain and execute. As needed, role will be to partner with resources to support execution as required.

* Mentor and coach teams to promote learnings around data analytics, driving greater knowledge of commercial and customer perspectives.

* Meet with resources on an on-going basis, ensuring vision for reports are realized and continually improved on a regular basis.

* Perform predictive and prescriptive analytics to forecast sales trends and identify growth opportunities.

* Ensures execution of quantitative analyses that translate data into actionable insights.

* Acts as a thought leader in architectural and design patterns and guides on their adoption for analytics purposes.

--- Technology Enablement

* Oversee/Support the implementation and optimization of sales tech stack (e.g., BI tools, CRM).

* Ensure data & AI integration across platforms (e.g., automation, datasets, & personalization).

* Keeps abreast on the latest technology architecture trends through continuous learning.

--- Process Optimization

* Collaborate with sales ops to streamline workflows, automate reporting, and reduce manual tasks.

* Lead/Support data governance initiative to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.

* Support district planning and budget setting using historical and market data.

* Manages adoption as well as definition of new patterns, standards, and processes and ensures their adoption and solutions development.

--- Performance Management

* Provide data-backed feedback to sales reps and leaders.

* Support incentive programs based on performance analytics.

--- Collaboration / Leadership

* Collaborates with cross-functional teams of enterprise architects, data scientists, project managers, software engineers, product management, and business stakeholders to craft solution architecture blueprints.

* Works closely with the business and technology teams to guide solution development and implementation.

* Work closely with the business teams to arrive at methodologies to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics.

* Maintains continuous communication with business partners and customers.

* Mentors, guides, and drives the development of Data Analytics & BI talent.

* Act as a bridge between analytics teams and sales leadership, ensuring insights are actionable.

* Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and IT to align data initiatives.

* Translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

Qualifications for the role

*Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 8+ years in fast-paced commercial environments.

*Proven track record working with sales tools, driving change, and leading strategic process improvement initiatives

*Experience in commercial environments considered an advantage

*Sales Tools experience including Salesforce, PowerBI, Power Automate

*Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills

*Champion of change; willing and eager to promote change

*Previous process improvement role as an asset

*Six Sigma Green/Black Belt an asset

*Travel between 10-20%

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $116,200 and $215,800 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
