Position Summary The Project Controls Analyst staff position provides support to the Corporate Capital Projects & Engineering group in the implementation and coordination of project controls activities for major capital projects. The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge of project management and project controls activities for large construction projects, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and be able to work under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Project Controls following established procedures, and performing analysis duties with limited scope and complexity. Responsibilities Support the implementation and maintenance of project controls systems, including cost, schedule, risk and opportunities management. Support with implementation and maintenance of internal quality management systems, including documented information, deviations, corrective and preventive actions. Generate associate reporting for capital projects consisting of greenfield and brownfield construction, and T/A projects for Chemical plants. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing regular updates to project managers. Analyze project performance data to identify trends and areas of improvement. Prepare detailed reports on project status, including progress, risks, and issues. Assist in the development of project control procedures and best practices. Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against planned performance. Interface with other departments to provide project financial data as needed. Participate in project meetings and provide insights on project controls. Support with the internal quality audit program which encompasses planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions. Implementing the process-based approach, performance indicators and risk. Qualifications Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Proficiency with MS Office software, particularly MS Excel and other data analysis tools. Project management and project controls training preferred. A minimum of two years of comparable work history. Knowledge of project controls best practices, methodologies and techniques. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or equivalent.
