Engineering Manager Essential Job Functions:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and designers through goal setting, coaching, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Manufacturing Operations Support: Coordinate daily manufacturing engineering support to resolve technical issues and ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.
  • Process Improvement & Lean Initiatives: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
  • Capital Project Management: Lead the planning, development, and execution of capital projects for equipment and facilities. Maintain a comprehensive capital plan that advances operational resiliency and strategic initiatives.
  • Technical Oversight & Quality: Develop and implement equipment standards and specifications, ensuring adherence to all safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Communication & Reporting: Foster effective communication and collaboration among engineering, production, maintenance, and leadership to ensure aligned goals and efficient operations. Prepare and present clear technical and project status reports to stakeholders.

Engineering Manager Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in engineering, manufacturing, or business-related discipline.
  • 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated expertise in production support and project management.
  • 3 years of engineering leadership experience overseeing a cross-functional engineering team.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written), influence change, leadership, organizational, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage high-volume workload, and willingness to collaborate and support team efforts.
  • Ability to meet the role's physical demands, including, but not limited to, continuous standing/walking and occasionally picking up material weighing up to 50 pounds.

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
