DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Fiscal Officer 2, you will provide supervision and training to the agency staff. This includes the ongoing review and monitoring of daily tasks, monitoring of assigned projects and assuring staff receive necessary training to support their work. You will be expected to prepare the agency's state budget for Children and Youth and Juvenile Probation expenditures and revenues, the agency's county budget, and all related financial and revenue reports required by the County Commissioners and County Controller. Your comprehensive knowledge of all federal and state regulations governing the multiple funding streams is essential. You will have the opportunity to assist in preparation for and participate in required audits. Additional responsibilities:
- Oversee the review of all applications completed by the professional staff of Children and Youth and Juvenile Probation
- Assist the agency administrator in preparation of agency's annual Needs Based Plan & Budget prepared for the Department of Public Welfare
- Oversee all grants obtained by the agency, ensure regulations governing each are followed, and prepare all financial reports for submission to the state offices
- Provide administrative guidance to the agency's professional staff for the completion of mandated forms relating to financial matters
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a County Fiscal Officer 1; or
- Four years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- Two years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
