A Day in the Life of the Vice President, Marketing Strategy: Strategic Marketing Analytics
- Lead development of advanced models and marketing measurement tools including:
- Attribution modeling
- Media mix optimization
- Conversion funnel analysis
- Predictive targeting and segmentation
- Competitive Analysis
- Translate data into insights that drive acquisition, conversion, upsell/cross-sell, and retention strategies
Pricing & Packaging Strategy
- Own and evolve the company's pricing and promotional strategy using:
- Price elasticity modeling
- Behavioral testing
- ARPU impact forecasting
- Design and test offer structures (bundles, discounts, add-ons) to balance customer demand and profitability
Retention
- Drive customer retention through data informed strategies that reduce churn and increase Lifetime Value
- Build robust customer LTV models to guide investment decisions, retention strategy, and segmentation.
- Develop churn prediction models to identify risk factors and proactively trigger retention tactics.
- Partner with CX, product, and sales to reduce churn and improve overall customer satisfaction and value realization.
Forecasting & Investment Optimization
- Deliver accurate forecast and investment strategies that enable agile decision-making and maximize revenue impact
- Develops models for forecasting subscriber growth, campaign impact, and ecommerce revenue tied to media investment.
- Partners with finance to guide budget allocation and performance expectations based on scenario planning and predictive analytics.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead teams to drive alignment, execution and results
- Collaborates with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Experience, and Finance teams to align data-driven strategies with operational execution.
- Evangelizes data science and experimentation across the organization to drive a culture of insight-led decision-making.
Team & Technology Leadership
- Leads, scales, and mentors a high-performing analytics team across marketing strategy, pricing science, data visualization, and data science disciplines.
- Champions best practices in analytics architecture, data governance, and self-service insights through tools like Tableau, Alteryx, and cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).
- Collaborates cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Customer Experience, and Product to ensure alignment on strategic objectives.
- Cultivates an inclusive work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard and empowered to do their best work.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 10+ years in marketing analytics, pricing, or data science, with demonstrated success influencing C-level decisions.
- 5+ years leading high-impact teams across analytics, data science, or marketing strategy
- Deep hands-on experience with:
- Price elasticity modeling
- LTV and churn prediction
- Forecasting and segmentation
- Tools like SQL, Python/R, Tableau, Alteryx, and cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS)
- Strong background in media/telecom, subscription, ecommerce, or similar customer-centric industries
- Executive-level storytelling and strategic influence-able to translate complex analytics into compelling business action.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred).

*Benefits listed above are for regular full-time position Base Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $200,000-$240,000 annually plus opportunities for bonus and benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
