Mail Shop Helper

Staffmark is seeking a dependable Mail Shop Helper to join a fast-paced production team in Forest, VA. If you have at least 1 year of production experience and are looking to grow your skills in a team-oriented environment, this 2nd shift position could be a perfect fit.

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM | Overtime: As needed

As a Mail Shop Helper, you'll support production operations by sorting, tagging, and stacking printed materials. You'll ensure proper mail sequencing and assist with machine operation to maintain quality and efficiency. This role is active, hands-on, and critical to daily production success.

Responsibilities

• Remove printed materials from machines and verify number sequences
• Sort and insert tags into trays, rewind stamp rolls
• Move mail using pallet jacks and stack trays onto pallets
• Communicate production issues across shifts and follow safety procedures
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist the team as needed
• Support fast-paced operations and help troubleshoot downtime
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of production experience
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable standing, bending, and performing repetitive motion for long periods
• Strong attention to detail and basic problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented with good communication and a willingness to learn
• Flexible for overtime and weekend work when required
