About the Unit Join a collaborative and dynamic team at Corewell Health East's Medical Physics department, comprised of 20 dedicated physicists and 3 residents. Our department supports a diverse range of advanced treatment technologies, including Elekta Versa HD linear accelerators, an Elekta Unity MR-Linac, and an IBA proton therapy system. We are excited to be launching a centralized RayStation treatment planning system this September, enhancing our capabilities across all sites. At the Farmington Hills Cancer Center, we have an existing Elekta Versa linac, with a second linac scheduled for installation this fall. The center also operates an HDR brachytherapy program utilizing a Flexitron afterloader with Oncentra planning. We are seeking a motivated and collaborative medical physicist to join our experienced team at Farmington Hills. The successful candidate will work alongside a seasoned physicist in a supportive and innovative environment. GENERAL SUMMARY: The Staff Physicist works within the Department of Radiation Oncology. They report to the Chief of Physics and work under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Physics and Medical Physicist Ld. They perform and review all aspects of radiotherapy patient and equipment related planning and quality assurance. The primary responsibility of the Staff Physicist is to assure the best possible treatment is provided to the patients in Radiation Oncology. The Staff Physicist in Radiation Oncology responsibilities will include clinical service, research/development and education/training based on the assignments from the Chief of Physics and Director of Clinical Physics. QUALIFICATIONS
