Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Vice President, and in accordance with company policies and procedures the Human Resources Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and fostering a culture of accountability across the organization. As a trusted advisor to the Executive VP, the HR Manager will support initiatives to improve overall company performance and employee engagement. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on HR functions to build a resilient and high-performing organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding
- Ensure all company HR policies are followed and applied consistently
- Confirm the organization's compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
- Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives. Partner with Operations leader to support and implement Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost practices (SQDC)
- Investigate employee issues/conflicts and bring them to a resolution
- Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys
- Oversee benefit design and strategy to remain competitive while also being effective. Manage the open enrollment process.
- Manage the leave of absence process and oversee Workers' Compensation Insurance
- Maintain HR Systems and processes
- Provide leadership and daily management to HR team. Assure professional development among staff.
- All other duties assigned

- Ability to communicate effectively in both the written and verbal form.

- Above average computer literacy includes Microsoft Suite, JazzHR, and Alliance HCM (HRIS System)
- Possess high ethical standards- personal integrity and honesty.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, process management, or operations, or Associates in a related field with 10 years' HR experience in a manufacturing environment and 5 years' experience in a management role.
- Five years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- A sharp eye for identifying weak points in processes and organizational structures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A thorough understanding of the latest process enhancement strategies.
- Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Confidence in your abilities to lead organizational change.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Tanis's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Manage personnel required for projects.
