POSITION SUMMARY



The Benefits Manager is responsible with overseeing the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs for the Company while ensuring compliance with regulations, manage vendor relationships, and analyze program effectiveness to support employee satisfaction and organizational goals.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for servicing Company's priorities within the Human Resources Benefits Department
  • Develop a deep understanding of each Company's business, goals, and service level expectations to deliver tailored benefits solutions


  • Ensure benefits plans operate efficiently by identifying and resolving discrepancies and providing accurate information as needed
  • Demonstrate commitment to our corporate values: Employee Focus, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence


  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits and insurance industry practices and products


  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes


  • Coordinate and implement new benefit plans in collaboration with stakeholders


  • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions
  • Communicate benefit plan updates, changes, and recommendations effectively to employees and leadership
  • Manage and resolve day-to-day HR and benefits-related issues in a timely and professional manner


  • Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators


  • Create and distribute communication tools that enhance employee understanding and engagement with the benefits package


  • Other duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS




  • Bachelor's degree preferred


  • 8+ years of employee benefits experience working with a brokerage firm and/or part of a Human Resources team member


  • Experience in union and government contracting experience is required
  • Experience in implementing and communicating new benefit plans is required
  • Proven track record in implementing and effectively communicating new benefit plans
  • Comprehensive knowledge of benefits administration, including system management, data transfer coordination, premium and plan oversight, file maintenance, and updating payroll records
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and impactful presentations
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset


  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with limited supervision


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities


  • Advanced skillset and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in addition to web-based applications


  • Strong interpersonal skills


  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development

WORKING CONDITIONS



Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
