POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic advisor, culture change leader, and coach to both business leaders and the Human Resources Team. HRBPs will collaborate closely with management to understand the business priorities, unique challenges and opportunities, aligning HR strategies with overall business objectives. This role goes beyond traditional HR operations by applying sharp critical thinking, problem solving, leading with purpose, and proactively enabling real change across the organization. The ideal candidate is a trusted thought partner who understands the business, sees around corners, and builds solutions that advance both culture and performance.



RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Act as a proactive and forward-thinking advisor to business leaders. Understand the business deeply to diagnose challenges, influence strategy, cut through complexity, and develop targeted people solutions that enable sustainable growth.
  • Champion cultural evolution across the organization. Lead strategic initiatives that shift mindsets, strengthen leadership capability, and enhance employee experience.
  • Inspire and mentor a high-performing HR team. Build capability across the function through coaching, collaboration, and professional development-ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic goals.
  • Evaluate current and future talent needs. Recommend and implement strategies around workforce planning, succession, and organizational design to meet evolving business demands.
  • Lead high-impact HR initiatives in partnership with the CHRO, VP of HR, and cross-functional teams. Deliver measurable results in areas such as performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with HR Generalists and leaders on complex employee relations matters. Identify systemic issues and implement proactive strategies to mitigate risk and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Design and deliver training programs that equip managers with the leadership skills and tools they need to manage teams effectively, support employee growth, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Analyze workforce data and business trends to transform raw information into actionable insights, identify opportunities and translate insights into actionable HR strategies that drive business impact.
  • Ensure HR practices are in line with federal, state, and local legal requirements. Provide guidance to leaders to reduce legal risk and ensure a compliant, ethical workplace.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related field required
  • Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of progressive HR related experience
  • Proven experience as a strategic HR business partner in a complex, fast-paced organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, coach senior leaders, and drive cultural change
  • Exceptional business acumen, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to engage, inspire, and influence leaders across all levels of the company
  • Ability to be agile and critical thinker
  • Demonstrated project management and change management experience
  • Experience in understanding and translating the priorities of the business and integrating HR strategies to meet the needs of the business
  • Demonstrated ability managing employee matters across multiple locations and geographies
  • Knowledge of employee relations, conflict mitigation, performance management, federal and state employment laws
  • Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) regulations and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) preferred
  • Excellent organizational, verbal & written communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Ability to travel, as needed
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to adapt and lead in a rapidly changing environment
  • Top Secret clearance preferred or ability to obtain clearance

WORKING CONDITIONS



Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
