Definition:

The Head Pickleball Professional will be responsible for providing high-quality service and memorable experiences for our members and resort guests through expertise on and off the pickleball and tennis courts.

General Duties:



  • The Head Pickleball Professional will lead and supervise the pickleball programming and activities at a premier club/resort.
  • The Head Pickleball professional will manage all day-to-day operations, instructional programs, recreational and competitive offerings, and leagues for pickleball.
  • This professional will assist with the rest of the Racquets Department and will serve as an integral part in creating new events and programming.
  • The Head Pickleball Pro will oversee the Baseline Shop staff, providing performance reviews and scheduling of staff.
  • Develop and implement instructional programming, social events, leagues/inter-club play
  • Teach lessons and clinics
  • Run socials, mixers, match play, etc
  • Manage and lead the Pickleball program with a high level of ownership and exude positivity, customer service, and people skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Develop promotional materials in collaboration with the Marketing Department
  • Partner with the respective managers to develop meaningful solutions to challenges
  • Take the lead on creating content for email blasts, newsletters and email communication with Members regarding Pickleball


Employment standards:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • IPTPA, PPR and/or USPTA certified, with previous club experience.
  • Must possess considerable pickleball skills, 4.0 or higher.
  • Strong desire to learn, excel, improve, and continually educate self and team.
  • Self-starter with the ability to set priorities and define what is most important.
  • Be able to solve problems and create procedures to ensure the department and personnel are efficiently working to their full capacity.
  • Be a change agent and must continually review responsibilities to recommend improvements in methodologies, formats, processes, etc
  • Proficient with computers and POS
  • Leadership Skills must be able to train and motivate others.
  • A resume with verifiable, impeccable references is also required.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
