DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will prepare and type various correspondence and reports while proofreading to ensure they are completed in a grammatically correct manner. Reviews reports for adherence to processing standards and regulations, then forwards to Troop Headquarters. Obtains data from various reports and enters it into the Initial Crime Index computer system. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Three years or more of experience proofreading and editing various types of materials to ensure grammatical correctness and completeness.
- Two years or more of experience processing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Two years or more of experience answering and assisting with incoming telephone calls.
- Three years or more of experience maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and logs.
- One year or more of experience working in a position that requires maintaining a filing system.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
