Job Posting Title Plant Finance Mgr Job Description Summary Provides expertise and leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and expense-management for specific business units.Preparing operating budgets with and for various departments to support organization's expense management goals.Designing, preparing, and distributing expense reports tracked against budget expectations.Working with various departments to assist with their expense-management strategies and procedures.Working with junior staff to help them develop their expense-management awareness and budget planning and tracking skills. Job Description Responsibilities: * Manage the P&L for multiple plants * Review and approve monthly financials, including variance analysis * Review cost requests as required * Provide forecasts based on historical data and future trends * Develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for each plant * Lead and manage the cost reduction initiatives for each plant * Direct and coordinate interactions between operations, sales, engineering, purchasing, accounting, and other support functions * Analyze product costs and selling prices to determine price adequacy * Respond to requests for information regarding costing and pricing * Coordinate special studies as required by management Required Skills and Education Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field * Five to ten years experience in finance / accounting with progressively increasing responsibility * Experience in manufacturing environment preferred * Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite applications * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Must be able to work independently as well as with a team environment About AAM: As a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, AAM designs, engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.
