The Partners Group currently has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced absence and disability management professional to join our Total Absence Management (TAM) team as a Consultant.
How you will make an impact at TPG
The primary role of the Consultant is to drive new business growth and provide strategic guidance in all areas of absence and disability management. This individual will build and nurture relationships with brokers, carriers, vendors, and prospects, while serving as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to clients. Their work will contribute significantly to the growth of our TAM practice and the overall success of our organization.
A typical day in this role
Prospect and build strong relationships with brokers, carriers, and other strategic partners to generate new business.
Lead key client engagements including program reviews, vendor renewals, PFML readiness, RTW strategies, and benefit planning.
Deliver expert regulatory guidance and strategic advice on FMLA, PFML, ADA, Disability, and related leave laws.
Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure seamless client service and issue resolution.
Present persuasive proposals, service strategies, and tailored recommendations to clients and prospects.
Maintain Salesforce pipelines, monitor sales performance, and track client engagement metrics.

Location: Fully remote (or option for hybrid/onsite from one of our offices in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho)
**NOTE: This is a remote position, but applicants must be physically located in and authorized to work in the United States.
Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri
Salary Range: $140,000-160,000 annually (DOE)
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.
Travel: Minimal travel required; occasional overnight travel may be needed for client meetings or industry events
What you'll bring to the table
At least 10 years of experience in absence management, including employer-side leave administration and/or TPA experience
Active Life & Health insurance license
Expertise in FMLA, PFML, ADA, Disability, and related compliance requirements
Proven ability to develop and execute sales plans, manage pipelines (preferably using Salesforce), and close new business
Experience advising on benefit strategy, time-off policy design, and vendor/carrier solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex topics clearly
What will make you really stand out
A professional designation in absence management (e.g., CEBS, CPDM, CLMS)
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience delivering client education and training (e.g., manager briefings or compliance updates)
Familiarity with HRIS, leave administration SaaS platforms, and carrier systems
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and serve as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders
