SUMMARY: We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Contract Specialist to join our Finance Operational Support team. This full-time role will primarily work on-site, with the ability to be hybrid after fully trained (SHIFT). Purpose of this position: Provides collaborative support to HHS Business Partners to achieve the financial revenue goals and objectives of the organization. The Accounts Receivable Contracting Specialist (ARCS) takes the lead in negotiating professional sales contracts to ensure compliance with HHS policies, Federal, State, and Local law. This position also provides key revenue enhancement identification, pricing and data analysis. The position works with External Customers and HHS Stakeholders to ensure Compliance with Contract Requirements. As a key position in Finance Operational Support (FOS), this role includes opportunity identification/analysis, contract development, bidding, negotiation, implementation, database storage/retrieval and performance monitoring.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works collaboratively with all key stakeholders on revenue enhancement initiatives
- Effectively manage, facilitate, engage and negotiate with all involved parties, executive leadership, management, clinicians, medical staff leadership, legal representatives, and other customers
- Acts as the lead negotiator with customers to obtain the best possible value for HHS
- Ensures contract requirements are understood and prioritized with all parties involved
- Tracks and maintains up-to-date customer contract lists
- Monitoring contract performance and compliance with contractual obligations
- Documenting identified risks and opportunities associated with contractual agreements
- Ensure mutual understanding of contract requirements between all parties involved; including the communication and education of management relative to the use and dissemination of contract data, particularly as it relates to confidential information and strategies for customer discussions
- Provide timely contract assessment and data analysis to senior management as well as departments that are selling services
- Provide the necessary information and support to internal clinical and operational departments and functions to enhance revenue management performance. Report on analytical data for monitoring contract activity and compliance
- Develop and obtain required approvals and communicate appropriate policies and procedures related to contracting authority, contract development, negotiation, signatory authority, implementation, tracking and performance monitoring
- Establish and monitor key metrics for HCMC Stakeholders and Customer satisfaction
- Perform additional related duties or activities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, supply chain or a closely related field
- Three years of progressively responsible Sales, Strategic Sourcing, or Purchasing experience

- An approved equivalent combination of training and experience including, but not limited to work experience commensurate with minimum education requirements, business experience, military or other government experience, knowledge in subject matters that would be covered by minimum education requirements, or experience in areas commensurate with or within the scope of the minimum work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five plus years of experience in Finance, Strategic Sourcing, or Purchasing
- Experience working in a hospital finance department; particularly experience with selling professional services
- Demonstrated track record of leading teams through organization highly visible change
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Must have knowledge of state and federal purchasing, sales and/or contract law
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written in a clear-concise manner
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Solid knowledge of ERP and/or MISS systems
- Strong project management skills including the ability to plan, organize, and complete work projects in a cross-functional team setting
- Ability to form and maintain strategic alliances (internal and external)
- Experience with large sales agreements and negotiations
- Strong presence of command and influence
- Experience with managing an RFX process
- Deadline-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to gain buy-in from key stakeholders
