We are seeking an Accounts Payable Team member, County Materials in Marathon, WI.

Job Duties:


  • Code invoices with correct general ledger numbers for locations and expenses.
  • Enter invoices for payment.
  • Scan, email, and deliver invoices to the correct approvers for approval.
  • Enter use tax, temp labor, and project information on spreadsheets.
  • Answer calls in regard to payment statuses.
  • Print, date stamp, and paperclip approved invoices for payment.
  • Send out tax exemption certificates.
  • Set up new vendor accounts in SXE.
  • Print checks, fold, and mail.
  • Call vendors about payment statuses or open invoices.
  • Reconcile monthly statements from vendors.
  • Prepare credit applications.
  • Follow procedures and internal controls for authorized approvals.


Work Environment:


  • Office working environment.


Physical Requirements:


  • Sitting frequently.
  • Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds rarely.
  • Standing / Walking / Climbing.


Experience & Qualifications:


  • Associates degree in Accounting preferred.
  • 0-2 years' experience in related field preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft products.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Pro-active, multi-tasked, self-motivated team player and positive attitude is a must.
  • Accuracy and detail oriented.
