JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University is accepting applications for an undergraduate researcher position. The student researcher will be asked to assist in computational polymers research. The successful applicants will assist in our work to explore digital representations of polymer aggregates observed in Molecular Dynamics simulations to support ongoing research efforts. Data management and computer-based data analysis skills (e.g., Python) are required. Interest and training in soft materials, scientific computing, data science, and/or statistics are beneficial. The ability to work independently and remotely is required. Strong communication skills are also required to support collaborative work in a remote setting.
