Summary: Responsibilities: Operational & Technical Responsibilities
Interdepartmental Collaboration Process Improvement & Compliance Customer Service & Communication Required Knowledge and Skills * ls responsible for ongoing development of his/her work skills through the use of available resources (i.e.: in-services, formal educational programs, other work groups and on-the job training). * Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-services and/or reviews documentation as required. * Assists in the orientation of others and actively participates in mentoring. * Performs analytical and decision-making functions with minimal supervision. * Recognizes and seeks assistance/consultation when appropriate. * Demonstrates an understanding of relative Brown Health and all-departmental policies and procedures including safety issues. * Possesses awareness of programs/services provided by Brown Health and where they are located. * Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and directives from regulatory agencies and third-party payers. Other information: PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: * Effective use of time and resources. * Active participation in quality improvement efforts. * Delivery of high-quality, patient-centered services. * Fiscal responsibility and efficient resource utilization. * Implementation and support of department-wide quality initiatives. * Continuous year-over-year performance improvements. QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION * Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting. * In-depth knowledge of healthcare billing, collections, and insurance claim workflows. * Experience with Epic Work Queues and SSI Clearinghouse preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access). * Familiarity with medical coding systems including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM. Preferred: * Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field. * Experience working in an academic health system environment. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Excellent interpersonal and public relations abilities. * Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. * Organizational and time-management proficiency. * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
