LOCATION OF (1) POSITION(S) TO BE FILLED: DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE, TENNESSEE REVENUE REGISTRATION AND REPORTING SYSTEM DIVISION, DAVIDSON COUNTY

This position works a hybrid schedule of 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in education and/or communications.

Substitution of Experience for Education: Full-time professional work experience in developing/facilitating training curriculum and training sessions and/or drafting/preparing communications can be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.

Overview

Under general supervision, is responsible for training and communication services for various stakeholders regarding the Tennessee Revenue Registration and Reporting System (TR3); and performs related work as required. This is the training and communication specialist class in the TR3 division of the Department of Revenue. An employee in this class develops training curriculum for users of the Tennessee Revenue Registration and Reporting System. An employee in this class also performs communication functions to articulate and inform appropriate parities of relevant training information. This class differs from the TR3 Training and Testing Manager in that an incumbent of the latter provides supervision and oversight to employees in the TR3 Training and Communications Specialist and TR3 Testing Coordinator positions.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and conduct TR3 for various entities within the Department of Revenue and external parties.
  2. Works closely with employees in the TR3 Business Consultant series and Department of Revenue staff to define and document system procedures related to job functionality .
  3. Assists with the Letters Committee to address internal needs within the Department of Revenue for the TR3 system.
  4. Creates departmental communications about system updates and changes.
  5. Prepares and assists with external communications and presentations to inform stakeholders are necessary information.
  6. Assists with improvements and changes to TR3 e-services.
  7. Assists in monitoring unmanaged queues.
  8. Creates help articles about functionality within TR3 system to assist users.
