The Role:

As the Chief Executive (CE), you will be an esteemed leader dedicated to propelling PMMC to new heights within the Southern Oregon Service Area. Based in Medford-a city that perfectly blends natural beauty with cultural vibrancy-you will spearhead initiatives that foster growth, innovation, and exceptional patient care. Working alongside the Oregon Executive Council, community ministry board, and medical staff, you'll articulate a strategic vision that stands out in a competitive marketplace.

What You'll Do:



  • Innovative Trailblazer: Lead the charge in advancing PMMC's strategic vision, championing new ideas that differentiate our service area amidst evolving healthcare challenges.
  • Collaborative Architect: Foster strong, collaborative relationships across all levels-from executive management to clinical teams-ensuring seamless integration and execution of our strategic plans.
  • Patient Advocate: Stand at the forefront of quality improvement, advocating for the needs of patients, families, physicians, and employees, while promoting a culture in line with our mission and values.
  • Servant Leader: Exhibit compassion and dedication to the workforce, enhancing physician and employee engagement and nurturing community relations.
  • Strategic Visionary: Drive high-quality, patient-centered, cost-effective healthcare delivery, consistent with organizational goals, and responsive to community needs.
  • Senior Leadership Role: Beyond your primary focus in Southern Oregon, contribute as a senior leader within the larger Providence Oregon service area, promoting excellence across the board.


What You'll Bring:



  • A Master's Degree in Health or Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Over ten years of significant leadership experience in a healthcare delivery organization.
  • Strong executive prowess in operations and strategic thinking, coupled with a commitment to the system model.
  • Robust business skills in finance, negotiation, and planning.
  • Proven success in collaborating with physicians and maintaining a respectful attitude toward them.
  • Experience in Catholic healthcare preferred, with personal values aligned with Providence's mission.

Base Salary Range:

$300K to $340K

At Providence we believe in the importance of human connection and the impact of in-person collaboration towards team cohesion and caregiver engagement. Further, we want our leaders to live in or near the communities we serve. Therefore, leaders applying for this role will be required to work a hybrid schedule, which consists of three days onsite, two days remote and live within a reasonable commuting distance to the ministry or service area they support and lead.
