JOB MISSION:

The Analyst, NA Team Sports Commercial Operations serves as the day to day owner executing processes for best-in-class customer service, customer compliance and business operations management. This individual contributor will support the best athletes on field, court and pitch by ensuring shipment & receipt of the New Balance apparel, accessories, footwear and equipment they need to perform and win.

The Analyst is responsible for order book and pricing management of Team Sports, as well all VAS, labeling and other compliance activities. They will lead project execution as well as business solutioning to day to day challenges in support of this critical growth business.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Execution of all Regional Commercial Operations processes and support for Team Sports
    • Execute order book management as well as pricing/discount management for Team Sports wholesale, direct and promotional businesses along with all Compliance and Business Ops processes for this commercial group.
    • Marshall the Team Sports order book successfully between Take, Fill, Ship and Invoicing an Order.
      • Serving as the Customer Operations Account Specialist function - with a focus on specialized processes to ensure fulfillment of all order classifications within Teams Sports.
      • Manage account manager needs and support retailer communications as required.
      • Utilize D365, o9, Spotfire, WM, and PowerBI as well as the Microsoft Office suite to execute the business and provide best-in-class insights on the order book.
    • Partner with NB Logistics and Distribution Center teams to ensure the timely shipment of all Team Sports orders, as well as with Credit, IT, Business Transformation and other operational partners to ensure we execute orders successfully.
    • Provide timely, actionable updates regarding the state of execution, highlighting risks, opportunities and key insights needed by the Team Sports Commercial teams.
  • Serve as the key liaison for Planning & Operations to the Teams Sports Commercial Teams across all areas: Wholesale, Direct/Collegiate and Promotional businesses.
    • Communicate and Collaborate with Commercial Leads, Account managers, Team Product and Business Support on a regular basis to support both short-term and long-term priorities.
    • Execute or support the roadmap for continuous improvement of processes and successful implementation of these improvements.
  • Compliance Execution for Team Sports
    • Ownership of all VAS requirements and execution for Team Sports, including Licensed Style Cross Reference needs.
    • Manage Vendor Violations/Chargebacks end to end, mitigating issues and installing process changes where required.
    • Provide regular analysis on compliance challenges and chargeback areas, along with action plans to sustainably resolve these challenges.
  • Business Operations Support for Team Sports
    • Execution of the Pricing strategies and discount programs within the ERP system and order book for Team Sports.
    • Work with Team Sports management to design and implement changes seasonally, in alignment with Global/Regional Pricing & Profitability teams.
    • Provide regular analysis on pricing risks and opportunities, as well as discount/invoicing issues - working with Sales, Finance, Credit and IT to resolve any issues.
    • Execute freight programs for the Team Sports business - ensuring best-in-class shipment execution.
    • Provide regular, actionable insights on freight - providing recommendations for mutual improvement of the shipping experience for the Team Sport business between NB and the customer base.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Four-year college degree and a minimum of 3 years related experience in Operations, Planning, Merchandising or Commercial Sales roles.
  • Interest in growing the best boutique athletic brand in the world.
  • Ideally knowledgeable of industry, sales channels, the sales process, Customer Service, booking programs, style life cycle management, and product pricing.
  • Strong analytical mindset & skills, capable of translating complex business processes & data into powerful insights and digestible, actionable reporting.
  • People management experience preferred.
  • Strong written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on problem solving, conflicting objectives, and dealing with multiple customers.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and delivers results on expected timelines.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage time, multiple tasks, and deadlines effectively.

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
