LOCATION: Remote - this is a home based, virtual position that operates Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm EST. Must live in North Carolina or within 40 miles of the North Carolina border.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

Under the supervision and direction of the Vice President of BH & IDD Network Operations, it is the responsibility of the Administrative Support position to provide administrative assistance to the Vice President of BH & IDD Network Operations and the BH & IDD Network Operations team including: taking notes for various meetings, maintaining electronic files, assisting with scheduling meetings, in addition to other essential duties and responsibilities listed below.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Administrative support of the Provider Network Management Department- 100%

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing excellent customer service, and communicating with providers regarding network membership responsibilities (agency, LIP, Single Case Agreements, Hospitals).
  • Takes notes and maintain electronic files of agendas and handouts for internal departmental meetings and other meetings as assigned.
  • Provide assistance in responding to warm-transfers from the Provider Support Line.
  • Respond to emails and phone calls from providers and staff as appropriate in matters relating to provider network.
  • Maintenance of all paper files related to Provider Relations Team duties.
  • Communicate with any provider as needed to obtain needed information, update their information, and solve issues as possible.
  • Set up and schedule rooms, food, equipment as needed for meetings.
  • Complete Purchase Requests as needed for extra supplies, off site meeting rooms, etc.
  • Order/re-order supplies as needed for the Provider Network Team.
  • Assist Provider Network staff with orientation and other support needs.
  • Assist with provider communications and website maintenance.
  • Assist with general support needs across the Provider Network Team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Has thorough knowledge of office and business practices as necessary in the completion of daily responsibilities. Knows how to keep abreast of any changes in policy, methods, computer operations, equipment needs, etc., as they pertain to departmental operations and activities. Able to communicate effectively and have daily interpersonal contact with the public, supervisors and other employees. Ability to assemble information in a concise, clear and effective manner. Able to use independent judgment as situations warrant. Has the ability to comprehend, interpret and apply regulations, procedures and related information. Has a mathematical aptitude and ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of progressively responsible secretarial/clerical/administrative/office management experience

OR

  • Two-year secretarial science or business administration program and two (2) years of progressively responsible secretarial or clerical/administrative/office management experience

OR

  • Completion of a four-year program in a college or university preferably with major emphasis on coursework in business administration, public administration, or other related field

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparation and analysis of documents; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
  • Physical activity in this position includes crouching, reaching, walking, talking, hearing and repetitive motion of hands, wrists and fingers.
  • Sedentary work with lifting requirements up to 10 pounds, sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Mental concentration is required in all aspects of work.


SALARY: Depending on qualifications & experience of candidate. This position is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation.
